I was sick over the weekend – some sort of bug-and today was the first day I felt like anything. I hadn’t brought the trash cans up last night, and when I went to the end of the driveway this afternoon, the light was positively lovely, raking through the trees.

Friday an event I am part of planning is happening, and I did a site visit to work out the technology kinks.
There is something in me that love a room that will hold many people, but is now empty. I love empty ballrooms, empty sanctuaries, and even empty grocery stores.
It’s all the potential, I think.

We hung the lights outside today, and couldn’t leave the rooster and my DIY Christmas tree out!

Lemuria is one of the best independent bookstores in the South, and a Jackson treasure.
I had to go there today to pick up one of my presents – Renee had ordered it off their website, and then had them wrap it so I could stop by and pick it up on my way home.
She’s clever, that one is.

It was rainy and miserable today, and the weather related headaches were kicking my ass. And Renee has a bad cold, so I was out running errands. Much of my day looked like this.

It just looks like scraps, but one day soon they will be treenware – utilitarian objects made of wood. Things like spoons, dough scrapers, and spatulas.

We took the long way home from Little Rock and went through Memphis, and landed at Central Barbeque at exactly noon.
