This site runs on a self-hosted installation of WordPress, that I host on a shared server from Knownhost. The theme is a modification of GeneratePress. All stock photos are from Canva, all others mine and taken on whatever Android smartphone I was rocking that year (currently a Pixel 6).
The weekly newsletter is powered by Convertkit, the Membership platform is powered by Memberful, the blog post email delivery is from Jetpack, and the writer is powered by coffee.
I tinker with the site a great deal, but in the interest of showing my work, I publish shopnotes and, beginning in 2024, a changelog.
[…] Often back then, bloggers would have a colophon on their blog, either in the footer or on a separate page, where you told what tools you used. This gave a newcomer to blogging breadcrumbs to follow. If one wanted to start their own blog, now they had links to follow, terms to Google.
